Joe graduated cum laude from Central Michigan University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, with a major in Accounting. Since 1978, Joe has worked for Certified Public Accounting firms in Michigan. In 1983, he and three other individuals formed their own public accounting firm. Since 1983, Joe has served as partner-in-charge at the Sandusky, Michigan office of Brining and Nartker, P.C. Joe grew up on a farm in Shepherd, Michigan and helped his father on their cash crop operation. He has provided alpaca tax and accounting services since 1997. He currently provides income tax services to many alpaca clients.
